Is there a proper way to burn Scent-Sational Candles?

Yes. First, choose a stable, heat resistant, even surface, out of drafts and out of the reach of children to burn your candle. For best results in burning your candle, every time before you light the candle, trim the wick to 1/4 inch. Do not continue to burn when the wax content is less than 1/4 inch from the bottom of the container. Do not burn the candle more than 5 hours at a time. Never leave a burning candle unattended. The seller/manufacturer is not responsible for misuse. Now sit back, relax, and let the fragrance of your Scent-Sational candle warm your heart and home!

Why do I need to stop using the candle when the content is less than 1/4 inch from the bottom of the container?

This is a precautionary safety measure for you! Usually when the candle is this low, the wax has been used and the glass gets extremely hot. For your safety, don't ever pick up the candle jar when it's lit, especially if it is low and make sure you place it on a non-porous, heat resistant surface.

Are Scent-Sational Candles made with lead wicks?

Scent-Sational Candles does not use lead wicks in any of our candle products. All of our candles are made with zinc core wicks. Zinc core wicks have many advantages over cotton wicks. When you blow out the candle, zinc wicks won't submerge as easily as cotton wicks. They are easy to relight, and you'll never have to "find" the wick in the wax. Zinc core wicks are 100% environmentally safe!

What is the expected burn time of a Scent-Sational Candle?

Assuming that you are trimming the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn, the candle is not in a draft, and the candle is not burning for more then 5 hours, the candle will burn 4-5 hours per ounce.

What type of wax is a Scent-Sational Candle made of?

Scent-Sational Candles are made with a soy-paraffin wax blend.
